       From 1990 to present, a total of 221 Wage Orders were issued by the Regional Boards, 129 or 58% were issued motu proprio and 92 or 42% were issued by virtue of petition/s for wage increase filed with the Boards.

    • Lowest rate is P 202.00 (RB VII-plantation) and P 178.00 (RB IV-B - Non-Plantation)

For workers in Retail/Service Establishments employing not more than 10:

    • Highest rate is P 345.00 (NCR)

The NCR nominal wage of P362.00 is only P234.15 in real terms.
              Real wages in other regions range from P117.99 (ARMM) to P199.34 (RBIV-A)

     HOW MANY EMPLOYERS COMPLY WITH THE MANDATED MINIMUM WAGES?

    • As of 2nd qtr 2007, compliance rate was 85.3% (Phils.) or 3, 507 establishments
      (out of 4, 111 inspections)
    • In NCR, compliance was at 86.6 percent or 454 compliant establishments. In areas ONCR, compliance rate was highest in Region III at 97.5 percent or 1, 267 establishments and lowest in Region IV-A at 48.8 percent or 61 establishments.

    • As of 31 January 2006, a total of 516 applications for exemption were filed with the Regional Boards.
    • Of this number:
      348 or 74.2% were approved
      62 or 13.22% were disapproved
      59 or 12.58% were dismissed
    • Disposition rate - 90.7%
