About the NWPC Productivity e-Learning Center Sustained development of the Filipino workforce is a key component to global competitiveness and economic development. To be competitive, individuals and enterprises must know and adopt quality and productivity improvement strategies. Under RA 6727 (Wage Rationalization Act) and RA 6971 (Productivity Incentives Act), the National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC) sets minimum wages and promotes productivity improvement and gainsharing to help alleviate poverty and ensure economic gains. While productivity promotion can be pursued in many different ways, what is needed is a scheme that will reach the respective beneficiaries in a fast and facilitative manner. The NWPC Productivity E-learning Center for Workers and Entrepreneurs combines the conventional and highly technical mode of communication to easily disseminate information on productivity. It serves as a one-stop learning facility where workers, prospective workers and MSMEs owners/managers can access interactive training modules on productivity, individualized or group mentoring and library information materials towards productivity improvement and work ethics/values formation. It will also serve as an informal market place of ideas where they could network with different productivity centers/organizations to share productivity practices and experiences.
